Cops Beat Pittsburgh Student ‘So Bad Thought I Was Going To Die’

Pittsburgh police Chief Nate Harper said three plainclothes officers have been reassigned during an internal investigation into the beating of an 18-year-old student violinist from the city’s Creative and Performing Arts High School.

Police charged Jordan Miles, 18, with assault and resisting arrest Jan. 11 because, they said, he fought with the officers who thought a “heavy object” in his coat was a gun. It turned out to be a bottle of Mountain Dew.

Miles said he resisted because he thought the men were trying to abduct him and didn’t identify themselves as police.

Miles’ family and attorney said he was hit with a stun gun and hospitalized after the violent Homewood struggle during which a chunk of his hair was yanked out and a tree branch went through his gums.

“I was accused for something I never had anything to do with,” said Miles, an honor student at CAPA. “I was completely innocent. They couldn’t find anything.”

# Life on other planets was discussed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland last week.

# Unfortunately, the talk on this topic was given by Dr. Jill Tarter of SETI - the institute that passively waits for their arrays of radio telescopes to detect ET presence in space, and claims they have had no ET contact - while CSETI teams have made contact using a number of advanced protocols.

# Dr. Tarter and other SETI personnel have been hiding the truth about the existence of ETs for years.

It has recently been reported in a blog by Washington Post columnist David Ignatius (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/davos-diary/2010/01/life_on_other_planets.html#more) that Dr. Jill Tarter spoke to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland about SETI’s efforts to capture signals from extraterrestrial worlds using multi-millions of dollars worth of radio telescopes. Tarter claims her “closest alarm” came in 1998 when she was certain she was recording inexplicable noise in the cosmos. For a while she thought she had connected with ETs - until the sounds turned out to be a European spacecraft that hadn’t been coded properly into the system.

In spite of the fact that SETI’s radio telescopes are antiquated technology to the ETs - the equivalent of ancient humans sending out smoke signals and expecting them to be detected by our cell phones - in fact, SETI has actually detected signals from other civilizations, and has covered up that data! A SETI insider revealed this fact to Dr. Steven Greer, and Dr. Greer broke that news in an interview with Art Bell on Coast-to-Coast AM a few years ago, though he came under heavy criticism because he refused to identify his reliable source, to whom he promised anonymity.

But the fact remains: SETI personnel like Dr. Jill Tarter are in a position to know the truth, but have been spreading disinformation for years. There is abundant evidence that we are not alone, and hundreds of military and government officials, through the Disclosure Project, have established that Earth is already being visited by advanced civilizations from other star systems.

Topul celor mai scumpe războaie după WWII
Războiul din Irak este cel mai scump conflict militar din 1950 încoace, conform cifrelor publicate de Congresul american, la finele lui 2009. Bugetul alocat de statul american pentru Operation Iraqi Freedom ajunge la circa 683 mld. dolari, din 2003 până azi. Următoarea poziţie în top este ocupată de războiul din Vietnam, care a costat SUA “doar” în jur de 650 de mld. de dolari (în banii de azi). Costul operaţiunilor din Irak ajungea în 2005 la 7.5 miliarde de dolari pe lună, potrivit raportului oganizaţiilor Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) şi Foreign Policy in Focus. Ajustând cifrele cu inflaţia, conflictul militar din Vietnam a costat statul american 5.1 miliarde de dolari pe lună.

Afganistan, război de miliarde de dolari

5 milioane de dolari a costat o oră de război în Afganistan, în 2009. Din 2010, valoarea indicatorului se va dubla (10 mil. de dolari/oră), odată cu suplimentarea trupelor din Afganistan cu încă 30.000 de militari la finele lui 2009.
Preşedintele Barack Obama a declarat pe 1 decembrie că vor mai fi trimise încă 30.000 de miliari în Afganistan, numărul soldaţilor americani în regiune ajungând la 100.000. În 2008 s-a înregistrat un record al numărului de militari trimişi în Afganistan şi Irak (188.000). Trupele din Afganistan şi Irak “consumau” zilnic 15 milioane de litri de combustibil, relativ la acelaşi an, potrivit unui studiu Deloitte.

Un galon (3,78 de litri în SUA) de combustibil în Afganistan ajunge la 400 de dolari (de la 48 de dolari, costul iniţial). Combustibilul în Afganistan este semnificativ mai scump decât în Irak, din cauza liniilor de aprovizionare periculoase, de peste 1.200 de mile, care străbat Pakistanul.

Un soldat în Afgansitan costă statul american 1 milion de dolari pe an, în vreme ce un miliar din Irak costă SUA doar 390 de mii dolari, conform estimărilor Casei Albe.

Pe lângă banii de la buget, cele două războaie au primit fonduri şi din partea Departamentului de Apărare şi State and Foreign Operations Appropriations bill, suplimentându-le astfel fondurile cu 682.8 miliarde de dolari până în anul fiscal 2009 (pentru Irak), şi cu 226.7 miliarde de dolari, pentru conflictul militar din Afganistan.

Americani, arestaţi în Haiti pentru trafic de copii

Zece cetăţeni americani şi doi haitieni au fost reţinuţi vineri, pentru că ar fi încercat să fure 31 de copii, a anunţat ministrul Afacerilor Sociale şi al Muncii, Yves Christallin, citat de AFP.

Americanii, care ar face parte dintr-o organizaţie caritabilă numită “Refugiul pentru o nouă viaţă a copiilor”, cu sediul în Idaho, au fost arestaţi în timp ce încercau să traverseze frontiera dominicană împreună cu 31 de copii cu vârste cuprinse între 2 luni şi 12 ani.

Apropiaţii celor reţinuţi afirmă că este vorba despre o “greşeală administrativă”.

Adopţiile internaţionale, o problemă

Autorităţile locale susţin că nu poate fi vorba despre adopţii deoarece în cazul acestor copii nu există autorizaţiile emise de Institutul bunăstării sociale din Haiti, care se ocupă de adopţii.

Doi pastori sunt implicaţi în acest caz.

Directorul general al poliţiei, Mario Andresol, a precizat că a fost demarată o anchetă pentru a se stabili cum au fost luaţi minorii.

Cei 31 de copii au ajuns la un centru din Croix-des-Bouquets, la nord de capitala Port-au-Prince.

După cutremurul devastator din 12 ianuarie, zeci de mii de copii au rămas fără părinţi şi fără un adăpost. Mai multe familii, din SUA, Franţa şi Marea Britanie s-au arătat interesate să adopte copii din Haiti.
